Cost: $120.00/monthly session (4 or 5 investigations, once per week), discounts available for sibling and group enrollment
STEM programming is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics and is a federally approved and funded educational initiative being incorporated in schools and districts across the country, including locally in Stratham. Proper STEM education is designed to create an interest in math and science in students of all ages through experimentation, collaboration and creative thought. Each of these meetings will typically consist of 15 minutes of introduction and background information on the investigation for the day. Students will then break off into investigative groups and assign the necessary duties. Groups will then have 45-50 minutes to creatively construct and perform experiments to answer prompts provided by the instructor or from their own findings. The final 15-20 minutes will be used for presenting each group’s findings.
